Advice for disabled people

KROMANN Law Firm advises people with disabilities and their families with competent and valuable guidance, recognising that it can be very difficult to navigate the many different rules in the disability area. This includes understanding what options you have as a disabled person in relation to obtaining subsidies for assistive devices, assistance with applying for loss of earnings compensation, support for a disability car, or coverage of additional expenses related to having a disabled child.

SUPPORT FOR A DISABILITY CAR

If you have a disability, or if you have a child with a disability, you may be eligible for support to purchase a disability car under Section 114 of the Danish Social Services Act. You can apply for such support whether you are disabled yourself or a parent of a disabled child. It is a requirement that the disabled person depends on the car in order to maintain or obtain employment, complete an education, or participate in other activities. KROMANN Law Firm assists you with the application and provides guidance throughout the process.

LOSS OF EARNINGS COMPENSATION

A disabled child naturally requires more supervision and care than other children, and therefore parents may need to stay at home to care for their child. If you must fully or partially stop working to care for your disabled child under the age of 18, we can help you apply for compensation for loss of earnings under Section 42 of the Social Services Act. This means you can receive compensation for the income you lose by staying at home to care for your child.

COVERAGE OF ADDITIONAL EXPENSES

People with disabilities or parents of a disabled child may be eligible for coverage of additional expenses related to the disability under Section 100 of the Social Services Act. KROMANN Law Firm provides advice if you are unsure about your options for obtaining coverage of such expenses.

SOCIAL PEDAGOGICAL SUPPORT IN YOUR HOME

As a person with a disability, you may be entitled to social pedagogical support in your own home under Section 85 of the Social Services Act. The purpose of this support is to ensure that you receive the necessary assistance and skills to live as independently as possible.

Under Section 83 of the Social Services Act, you are also entitled to the necessary support for carrying out practical tasks in your home. This includes personal care, practical assistance in the home, and meal services.
