Asylum

Criteria for obtaining asylum

To obtain asylum, you must have a well-founded fear of persecution due to your race, religion, nationality, political opinion, or membership of a particular social group if you return to your home country. You may also be granted asylum if you risk the death penalty, torture, punishment, or inhuman or degrading treatment in your home country.

You must remain in Denmark while your application is being processed.
